In 2015 the State of Michigan launched the Michigan Perinatal Quality Collaborative (MI PQC).  All 50 states have established state wide perinatal Quality collaboratives to improve maternal and child outcomes. The Michigan PQC is comprised of nine (9) Regional Perinatal Quality Collaboratives representing the states ten (10) prosperity regions (see map).

The Region 5 Perinatal Quality Collaborative was established in 2019 which aims to improve outcomes for maternal, child, and family health in the great lakes bay region including; Arenac, Bay, Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot, Isabella, Midland, and Saginaw.
